hover link colours wont change

Hello,
I have recently encountered a problem in which you can't change the hover link color to white. (forum, admin panel,View posts since last visit,View your posts,View unanswered posts, mark all forums read and delete forum cookies etc. links)
help please!

Did you try this yet?

Admin Panel>>Display tab>>Colors>>Go all the way down till you see Deactivate the basic CSS>>Click NO>>Then go back up till you See Colors>>Look for Hover Link Color :>>Change it to what ever you want>>save

Then go back to CSS StyleSheet>>back down till you see Deactivate the basic CSS>>Yes>>save
