Referal system

I have seen in many forums that while doing registration process they also give a option of "referal (if any)".

I want this for my forums.
I$ this possible.

It's possible if you use it for profile fields,

Admin Panel=>Users & Groups Tab=>Users=>Profile=>Profile Fields

You can build your referral system from there.

Just make sure to allow only admins to modify it,and set it's obligatory to the yes option.

It's just for new members to tell the admin/other members of the forum who told you about the forum.

It's used as a profile field,so new members can type in the member's username from the forum when registering.
