How do I copy and paste a link of another site, like a search engine that is advertising my forum, how do I copy and paste a link of their site onto my forum, so it's sorta in the background?

Can you rephrase your question?

I think your talking about a kind of affiliation, but I'm not sure.

well O-o
for one you could make a homepage message on your forum then add
Code:
<a href=http://www.yourfriendsforum.forumlink.extension>My Friends Forum</a>

example: a link to mine would be.....
Code:
<a href=http://www.flyclan.darkbb.com> Fallen Legends of Yesterday Clan Forum</a>

Thats one way you could do it.

or if you want it in a post

Code:
[url=http://www.yourfirndsforum.forumlink.extension]My Friends Forum [/url]

if neither of those are any help then I appologize for not understanding your question correctly

Well I'm not sure those answer my questions, but what's going on is that I submitted my forum url to a search engine place and they asked in return to put a link or advertisement of their engine onto my forum, and I don't know how to do that. Does that make more sense?

well if thats the case just make a sponsor widget (dont ask how, i'm not a scripter Very Happy ) and have a list of tall your "sponsored" search engine clients links on your forums off to the side or something. I don't use widgets that often so I'm not entirely sure where to begin for making one

To put a link to search engine, use this code...

Code:
<a href="LINK URL HERE" target="_blank">SEARCH ENGINE NAME HERE</a>

You can put this code in you homepage message...Admin CP > Display > Generalities.
Or in a custom widget....Admin CP > Modules > Widget Management > Create a custom block.
