Forum Deletion

I know how to delete my forum, though I do not wish to, but I am curious as to what happens when a forum is 'deleted'. I mean is it gone forever or is it still somewhere on the internet? Just curious about and was wondering if others have thought about this or if they new the answer to this? I

Its not really a problem which is why I have not posted this in any of the other sections and was just looking for some information.

*rolls eyes* This is not really a problem and I don't see the point in posting this in the other sections since this is something that I am curious about and not in any dire need for an answer.

Though you could have told me where to post it since you feel this is not the right location for such a topic of discussion though I was looking for more user input as to if this is something that they thought about as well?

I cant see on my forum if im totaly right but it shud be something like this:
ACP->(advanced mode) General->Forum delection
Then type in "DELETE"
Afterwards you shud recieve with a link to where you can verify your delection

I am not asking about how to delete it, I know how but my question is whether or not it is actually deleted?

Or is it like hidden from the general public but still residing somewhere in a hard drive?

Getting a Verification saying that it is deleted does not mean that it is gone. Such as how you can set up the 'deletion' on your own forum where it goes somewhere else but is not really gone.

I was just looking for the opinions of others on this, and to ask them if they wonder if perhaps when they deleted their forum if it was actually deleted or just moved to archive somewhere?
