Problems with changing a users profile
I have a forum at http://exploringyourmind.forumotion.com/index.htm and I am not very savvy on how to do the adminstration stuff. I am trying to give a user a new rank and I go to their profile to try to change ranks but I keep getting an error that my passwords do not match, but I don't want to play around with my users password. Help?

That didn't help me. I was able to create ranks I wanted but not to apply them to the users profile.

Re: Problems with changing a users profile
Aren't you changing them through the admin panel?
Users & groups>Search Users
Find that user, click on it.
Then scroll at the bottom, to change the special rank assigned.
See if that works.

Hi,
please ignore the password thing, it will annoy you but its there for some godly stupid reason
When u go to a users profile in the admin panel, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and change their rank from the drop down box there - Save it.
Now refresh ur page, and he/she should have the new rank there

Re: Problems with changing a users profile
O my gosh. That is what I was doing, but I figured out the problem. It's something to do with the Google Chrome browser. It always fills in something in the user's profile in the "new password" area but firefox and IE work fine. Thanks Sanket and darren1!!
