Selecting Avatars Empty Selecting Avatars

How do I get members of our group to selected from a list of our groups own avatars that don't have category? Can I create my own category for my own avatars?

You can't make your own category, but you can do this:

ACP>Display>Avatars and smilies>Avatar gallery>Personal avatars>Add an avatar to my gallery>Choose File>Save
