Inactive Users

Hey guys really hope someone can help me with this.

My forum is forum.brake1st.co.uk

I started the forum a couple of months back, some users registered knowing that im opening a site in the future. I now have my site open and am gaining alot of interest.

The problem is a week ago i went into the handle users option and sent inactive users a message about the new site using the option that lets you message users with zero posts. This seems to have made their accounts inactive, yet when i check on the admin panel it says they are not? is this something to do with the email i sent out? They all want to get involved now but cant because of this

Maybe you selected "deactivate" users instead of "inform" users.

That's maybe what caused the problem,

To activate their accounts, please follow these steps :

ACP=>Users and Groups Tab=>Users=>Inactive Users=>Users Deactivated Tab

From there, you can activate your users.

thanks for the response but thats the problem that tab is totally empty yet 3/4 users are saying they cant log on. My users with 1+ posts are fine, they can login with no problems....

Im still having users confirm that they can not log on and it seems to be the ones i sent the warning email to but not once did i deactivate them???

can anybody help...

if they are not in the inactive users list. just delete there accounts and have them re-register.i am not sure why this would be happening so just have them re-register after you delete there accounts.But you should try to notify them bu there email first so they know.
