Chatbox stuck

I have this problem 5 days now! My chatbox stuck and after 15-20 seconds display the message.

Does anybody else have this problem? Any suggestion how to solve this problem?

Did you see if you were logged off the chatbox?

Iam logged on when the problem is present, and not only me it is problem for all my members
i can log off and log on without any problem

there is generally a lag of 15-20 seconds, since its not actually a chat window like an instant messenger.

Before was ok ! This delay could be from 15 to 40-50 seconds sometimes over a minute and is not present always

There is really no way to fix it, its a already known issue.

i think its hosting problem(?) something going wrong with the upload of the hosting server isnt it?

Nopes, nothing of that sort. As i said earlier, you have to understand its not kinda a Instant messenger window which will display messages live in an instant. There will always be a lag.

Ok but why before was ok? I didnt have this problem!

Sorry, but since i have joined forumotion there has always been a little lag. It never acted like a IM.

a lag up to 5-10 sec is acceptable but sometimes over a minute?

there is nothing much i could do to help you further.
Since its a known issue of lag, the over a minute lag could be because of the internet connection speed you have. I can't really tell a specific reason behind that.

No its not a problem of my Internet connection it is issue of all my members!

Yes thats why its an known issue for it. The techs are the only ones that can fix it but we don't know what going on with it.

Are you sure that is not an upload hosting server issue or lack of ram?

sometimes it happens because of slow connection or because of more loads on browser ... make sure that your "Auto Refresh" box is checked ..
it's not a big problem so don't worry ...

Did you read my previous posts ?? Now the situation is worst!! All of my members have a lag over a minute and dosent matter what browser they are use or what is the connection speed!! Iam worry!! For my forum it is a big problem!!
Auto refresh is checked!! iam not so stupid.....
Is there any solution for this or not??

I found out that when i have the chat box in a separate window i must click on chat-box for quickly refresh!!! That means that the problem is at auto refresh script !! Pls guys try to fix it!! Auto refresh take to long to refresh by its self the chat-box

i took the code of chatbox for my forum and now what???
i am searching according to direction the modules but i can not.
i go to administration panel,general and then i have to click on modules but it does not exist.what am i doing wrong?i need chatbox in my forum!

This problem has been going on for months. We found it made our chatbox unsuable too, so we uninstalled it and installed a plugin from another site called chatroll, as another board here recommended it. But it too is now having some difficulties, so I was checking to see if forumotion has fixed its chatbox finally. I see that it hasn't. So we will be searching for a better chatbox.
