Blog Feed to Homepage (Portal)

Here is our current homepage http://weplaycod.net

As you can see our offsite blog (Blogspot) is being fed via widget by RSSInclude. This feed can take up to and hour to update, doesn't properly display links, colors, etc. which is why I'm now looking at setting up the forumotion blog option to display on our homepage.

So, how do I go about creating a blog that I can update daily and immediately see those updates on our homepage? I've looked around the ACP and can't seem to find a way to integrate it into our homepage portal.

You'll have to activate blogs first...
Admin Control Panel > Modules > Blogs: Configuration > On
There's additional information on the configuration page.

I've activated the blogs and have a test blog in our forums, but can't figure out how to display it on our portal/homepage.

It's technically a forum. It's not setup to function as a widget/feed...
but you could create a blog link/widget and add it to your portal

Edit the link to your blog/forum. Resize to fit a side widget.

But will that allow me to actually have the forum blog contents feed to the front page...similar to what I already have?

My apologies if I'm not following. I'm a bit new to all of this.

No... as I mentioned above it's not setup to function as a feed.
You can use a pic link to direct members to the blog or...
continue using your "blog feed widget by RSSInclude".
