change version of theme!

i dont know if this is the right section but its off topic so i m gonna post here, i want to know how can i change a theme's version? for example if there is a theme i want to install and its a punbb but i only want to use phpbb3 or 2 how can i change that? is it possible?

Go to ACP > Display (tab) > Choose Theme > Version (tab) - Select your version then save.

i, ve done that before but the whole theme changed, i was using phpbb2 before and i installed a phpbb3 version then i changed the theme and it changed to back phpbb2 theme that i was using before installing this one! now what?

you cannot change the version of a theme unless you re-make it on the version you want.

how can i make it on the version i want? is it that i install a invision theme and submit back it to hitskin with punbb? thats possible? i just guessed it

That way the skin is broken when you change the theme of a particular skin.

man i loved a theme on hitskin, but its phpbb3 but i want to use phpbb2 or punbb because i have some codes in my html and i dont want to lose them, so what should i do? i really want that skin

Well, you either have to give up on the way it looks if you want phpbb2. Because once you install the skin & change the version through the admin panel, its looks will be compromised. So its for you to decide.
