Mood Default value Empty Mood Default value

Whats does this actually mean "Mood Default value"? I'm guessing it means when a new member joins it will display that Mood by default. Right now I haven't used a Mood Default value and all my new members get the first one on the list of Mood images added automatically. I would prefer when someone joins they get no Mood image, so I set the default value to a blank image (transparent). I'm wondering if I can get confirmation what the Mood Default value means.
