Users can delete themselves Empty Users can delete themselves

Somehow the spammers of my forums are able to delete their accounts.. Which of course makes things a little more difficult as all their posts show under 'guest'. They can delete themselves even after they're banned. How can I stop this?

You cannot stop this because they use the unsubscribe tool.

Have more moderators on your forum, and search for latest posts to delete them.

I don't understand that... Their accounts actually turn into guests. How do suscriptons have any effect?

They are useing a delete account tool.
be sure you have it set for members not to be able to delete there accounts.

Other then that if they are they are using a utility tool that allows them to delete there accounts.. if they delete there accounts and there name changes to guest.. you have to change there name to like guest1 or what ever you want to do for you mods to be able to edit the spam content.

also be sure to get there ip and the email the registered with and put a block on it in the ban control.

i don't think there is much we can do about the utility tool because by law any member choosing to delete there accounts have the right to use this tool.
i am going to have to run this past the globals to see what you can do to try to slow them down or see they do not continue to do this..

it's a Lil hard to completely prevent but there are some things you can do to help slow the process.

Where is this tool you speak of Kirk?
How do I disable them from being able to delete their accounts like you said in paragraph 1?

AP=> Users&Groups=> User Options

Go to the "Allow members to unsubscribe" and tick the box "NO".
