Chatbox Font Color

Chatbox Font Color Empty Chatbox Font Color

I have tried to change my chatbox font to Black, as it has a White background. However, whenever I post in the chatbox, all that shows is my Username....you have to drag and highlite in order to see the text in the chat window.
A little help here, please.
