A solution found for the servers!

First topic message reminder :

Dear users,

We have had for some time, downtime and slowdown due mainly to a new provider for our servers. This service, that we had been advised by top IBM engineers, was meant to optimize and anticipate the traffic increase on your forums and our servers.

We bitterly regret that provider choice which currently and after several days of research and development, was unable to provide a stable solution.
Therefore, we decided to leave the service to join back to our previous provider. This change will take place within hours and we are confident about the result.
These new servers are ultra-efficient and will provide you with what we've promised : faster forums, more efficient, 99,9% uptime and enhanced security for your data.

During this migration, your forums will suffer delays. Do not worry, your forums do not risk anything, this maneuver is controlled and your forums should regain their vitality very quickly.

We are still sorry for the inconvenience caused, we fully understand the bitterness generated by such issues.
Therefore, as soon as the stabilization of your forums on the new servers will be established, we will make a gift to all our users and forums. o)

A note for users with blank page (Error 500) and users that have customized templates :

Simply go to http://yourforumaddress.com/admin and browse through Display > templates > and browse all templates categories where you've got customized templates WITHOUT touching them, and it will simply be fixed.

For all other users that had customized templates, you can now use them freely again.

As of today, any code i put in the index_body of the forum, makes the whole home page disappear. All that is visible is the Title Header and navigation menu.

Please help.

It seems to me that it is mainly the forums with domains that have been bought that are still not up, like my one ---> http://www.pokemonlegend.org/

I have everything enabled as far as avatars go. I haven't made any changes to my template since July..Any suggestion as to what to check for? Any change didn't come from me...and there were zero issues with avatars until after the "fix" whatever, that was performed today by Forumotion...

We are facing issues generating templates since the migration, the fact you changed them in July isn't important, as it's for all templates.
I suggest you wait for our tech team to fix the issues, they have all been reported and they're on it right now.

So, soon my members will have the ability to upload avatars from their computers then? We don't use our gallery...all avatars were from members computer files uploaded.

Would this be why any modified code in my index_body template has cause the forum body to disappear (be blank), and that we should wait it out until the issues have been fixed?

As long as that does get fixed i have no problem waiting a little longer, as at the moment it seems only the Default Templates work.

Hi Typlo, thanks for keeping us in the loop.

I seem to be having problems with my forum though. I can see the forums, I can see the topics, but when I click on a topic there are no posts, just a screen with the forum banner and nothing else - no error message or anything.

This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

I am using the phpbb 2. If that makes any differance
