Solved Free advertising.

One of my posters has several search engine logo's as her sig and avatar, and im wondering is this within Froumtion rules, cos i find it quite off putting myself.

If its off putting, ask him/her to remove it. Simple as that.

The content that you have on your forum is strictly your responsibility and not ForuMotion's. They just set the guidelines as to what isn't allowed at all, and so the forum's admin has the responsibility to judge what isn't allowed. But the rest is up to you:
You are legally responsible of your forum.
AND
These elements are not allowed :
1. peer to peer link exchange (edonkey, emule, bittorrent…),
2. sexual elements,
3. elements having royalties.

No, not at all. Its your forum and you can virtually do anything you like, as long as your actions don't collide with the ToS, which in this case, it doesn't.

I still find it very off putting and as ive disabled the advertising for members i see it as disrespectful to me tbh with you.

As the admin, you can make a rule saying that you can not advertise on your forum, and so anything advertising may lead to a ban etc.

You can also disable signatures if you think it needs to go that far.
