I checked the permissions for the forum and it says that members can write/reply and read. Any other suggestions?

Are your settings on "Forum construction" or "Forum on Holiday" by chance? ..

Yes.

Please put "Forum on Holiday" to 'no'

It should read 'no'

If you have placed both "Construction" and "Holiday" on 'no' then it should allow your forumites/members to post on threads/topics.

If it doesn't however, then I have run out of ideas.. You say the Forum Permissions allow members to post so that's the only thing I can think of that's stopping your members...
