Resize images

Hi there .. how can i resize images in posts ... from administration

General>Messages and Emails>Configuration
Images resize :

I did so, but nothing happened. The pictures have a same size ?

If I understand you I should to replace a lot of templates to see resized pictures ? My forum has existed from february this year. I saw some settings in those updates are ok, but some are not. Should I replace that anyway ?

I have: topic list box but no topic topc blog box. Is it the same ?

Admin panel>display>templates>general.

it's almost at the bottom of the list in general.
