USer Not Found (solved by itself)

I've had email this morning saying I need to approve a new memebr on my forum but when I click the link I get user can not be found.

I have looked on the members list and they aren't there either.

I asked them to sign up again and when they tried they got told that the username and email address was already registered to someone.

What is going on?
