How to make the subforums into links on main paige

Could someone help me figure out how to make the subforums into links to make it look nicer on the main page?

I don't see sub-forums on your RPG board yet.

This must be done in two steps.
First, when you create a sub-forum, you attach it to a forum instead of a category.
Second, you go in General > Homepage > Hierarchy > you set like this :

Index packing : Medium
Sub-level links on index : Yes OR With images
