Can ADMINS read other peopels Private Messages?

I do not want to, don't even know how, but my site had grown and added some ADMINS, don't want them reading other people's PMs...

Please don't double post, you can if its been 24 hours from the last post. This is your 2nd reminder next will be a warning.

No one is allowed to see PM's that members are sending. Forumotion will never allow this.

Private Messages are private. No one but the members can read them. An admin can access a member's account by changing the password to see members PMs but that would be pretty obvious as the member would notice when they tried to log on that their password had been changed.

If you do change their password you can get in big trouble by having the forum banned along with being sued.

You aren't allowed to view members' private messages.

Why do administrators have the option to change someones password anyways? If it's that bad, Forumotion should make it so that no one but the account owner can change the password.

Then what if a user loses their password? Or the user needs to reset their password?

what if a member account got hacked? and his email and password have been changed? we can change his password and retrieve it back for him Smile

we cant just disable the ability to change members account just for this

I am GLAD ADMINS cannot read PMs thru forum motion. I have been on other forums where they can and nothing good ever comes of it!

the reason admins can change passwords is if someone has there account hacked or lost password so the admin can change it then probolem fixed i think its solved and can be locked
