I've worked through faq's but still can't unlock my forum

hi guys, loving this site btw.

I've set up my forum, and got a couple of freinds to test it, but it appears to be locked (it says locked at the bottom of the page). they can register, but they can't post on it.
I've worked through the faqs, turned all the permissions on. but with no success, I'm sure this is one of those 'I'm doing something retarded' things.

Please help.

Let me guess they are seeing this at the bottom of the forum? If so don't need to worry about it. It just a legend to help members know what is what.



If they are seeing having problems your permissions might be that members can't post. Go to Admin Panel >> General Tab >> Under Forum >> Categories & Forums >> Click the Modify icon () Click the permissions Tab >> Make sure that members can reply/write >> Save

Check this for all the sections.

ah yes, that was confusing me, I understand the legend now.
It may just be that the first 3 catergories on my forum are locked. Bad design on my part. I'll re-order my forum and try again.
