Create a custom default user group?

Hi, first i want to say thank you very much for such a great service.. i had a lot of questions over the last few days as i created my forum (my 1st ever) and all of them were solved by using this help forum... awesome!

ONTOPIC:

now i found a problem i couldnt seem to find any help to:

Is it possible to either assign a custom created group as default to anybody that registers new on the forums (incl rank) or to rename the "Members" default group to have the same effect?

I would like to have any new member to automatically have the rank "USER" and be assigned to the that particular group.

Well there is a option wherein you can create a group with minimum 1 number of posts.
Users & groups>Group administration
Start creating a new group.

Group auto-subscribe :Yes
Then a new field will appear
Minimum Posts :1
Save.

So whenever a new member will get 1 post, he will automatically be added to this group.
