What is the code for viewing hidden message?

there are some site, which they have posts,
say thank you to view

then if you send a message, you can view their posts/topic.
like, they hide their message if you did not post anything.
anyone knows?

let us say i click your topic...
then i cannot see anything, all i see is "say thank you to view the post"
then i enter message,click reply, i can see the contents of his post.
is it clear now?

OK thats all it is. i just logged out and viewed the thread and could not see my hidden post or the test hidden post above.. so guest cant see it but your members that are logged in will.. so it's only to prevent guest from seeing the content.

I believe that you have to reply to the post in order to see what's in the hide tags, guys.

yeah it's only a feature to prevent guest from seeing the post.
But i think if a guest has permissions to reply to a post with content hidden then after they reply they will see it. i will have to test that on my test forum to be sure.
but either way this is just a feature to hide post from guest only.

if you log out and come back to the thread as a guest you will see

I'm pretty sure you can only view it if you have permissions to that forum or if you have replied to the thread; I'm not certain though.

one of the forumotion forums, can do that. admin or member has a post which has image or text > remember to say thanks/say thanks to view post.
if a member then post a message, they can view the post.
so is it the hide command?i think i can't try it out

bluemjc, that image wont appear on forumotion unless you manually put that image. Also the code is as zoids25 suggested.
