Ranks (Black and Red)

"Again black and red Juani, really?" I know, I know.

Made two versions, using different fonts:

Any feedback is appreciated. If somebody actually likes them and wants more ranks, tell me.

I don't like them. They're plain black and the gloss can be seen behind the rank. The font needs to be changed and most likely to a different color to.

What color would you suggest for the font? Did you also mean change the style? What exactly is wrong with it?

Besides the slightly color change when the gloss is added, I did not think more was necessary. However, I could fiddle with a gradient. Perhaps Black to Dark Grey.

About the visible gloss behind the rank, that was a silly mistake. I had eliminated it in another version but as its barely visible, I accidentally uploaded a wrong one. I will fix is ASAP.

For the text I would suggest a white or gray color in a less "bloody" font. As for the color, a dark gray to gray gradient would look nice.

They'd be good for a Crime Show fan forum since the font looks a bit like blood. They are a bit big though. The one you just posted looks great too!
