How do I fix this: Information message does not appear, only the word Information

Hi, starting yesterday the "Information" message stopped appearing. The only thing that would appear is the word "Information" with a line under it. How can I restore it back to what it originally was?

No, sorry if I confused you. Here's a picture:



As you can see the message is gone, all that's left is the underlined word "Information."

I removed the "Who's Online" and "Statistics" parts of the forum yesterday among other things, could that have caused it?

Reinstall a new skin & see if it still happens.

Is it specifically in posts, or does it appear when editing posts, PM's ect?

No problem, go ahead and register. The link to register is the farthest right button in the navigation (It's also flashing).

It appears everywhere the information box comes up at, when you login or logout. When you vote on polls or post. Thanks for your help.

My apologies about the delay in response, I've been a tad swamped with higher priorities lately.

I do happen to have some good, yet bad news to report back, after a quick glance.

The good news: I have to agree here, first hand I also come up across the missing messages underneath the line of "Information"

The bad news: Because I was unable to register onto the forum, I cannot go further than, what is commonly known as the login screen which says "you have entered the wrong username and/or password", as there is no register button.


I have a question now, your forum appears to be Phpbb2 or 3, I think it's Phpbb2, can you please confirm what one it is?

I can understand in both phpbb2, and punBB, but phpbb3

Do you remember the name of your skin by any chance, as I would recommend that you re-apply the skin, and inform us of what it is?


With that in mind, I'm taking the approach that the skin is the problem, and not the database it's self.

That's the original skin. I re-uploaded it but I'm still having the same issues.

I'll have a little play when I get home from work, or tomorrow morning depending how I feel (eigh late night shifts =\ ) but I must say, this seems extremely odd, and not like a skin-related problem.

Can you confirm that http://hitskin.com/themes/14/59/68/i_background.jpg is the skin to your forum, as it doesn't appear to be a skin.

Oh sorry, I thought you just meant the skin itself. The it came from HitSkin's Blue Chrome theme by Lonestar Spirit.

However, the most positive thing I can say;
I've found the source of this problem, it's in the section of the CSS you have pasted above.

The only thing I can suggest to fix this is that you get a new skin, and customize that as the skin appears to be faulty.
