Any way i can make an image transparent?????

I have some images on my forum, and would like it if I could make the white background that the have transparent.

Any way (or tips) on doing so????

The only way I know of doing this is in a graphics program.

If you have Paint Shop Pro, I could tell you the way, or you would perhaps have to do a graphics request in the forum.
