Viewing members' pms

I am the founder/admin of my forum. How can I view the private messages of my members?

Sorry that is nope possible. Forumotion will never allow this because its a France's Law.

I think he means it's illegal because of a law in France. ForuMotion provides it's service pretty much everywhere so they have to follow pretty much everyplaces laws.

To even have the desire to view your member's pm's is really a disgrace. If you have had problems with the pm system, or members abusing the pm system then either take the privilege away from a member, or disallow the usage of pms. As admin, I would never infringe on someone's pms unless they request that I did.

ForuMotion & its associates are a French company, unlike PHPBB.com which is an American (I believe American, but unsure) which means ForuMotion being a French company, it must follow ALL French laws, including it's online privacy laws.
French privacy laws indicate that a person is permitted so much privacy, and according to an act within that section, forumotion is prohibited to allow it's Administrators AND Founders permission, and abilities to view their members' Private Messages.

Actually MrMario and Darren, the Digital Millenium Copyright Act under the World Intellectual Property Organization states if such content is suspected to contain copyright material illegally, any country law will not prevail, and in this case, France. And therefore ForuMotion will be forced to release portions of its database for further legal investigation under the UN control.

If you want something similar ask for a report PM. That way they can report offensive PM's. I'm sure this isn't a law to see a reported PM as this is very much like a reported post.
