You Tube Videos

I am just curious to know why You Tube is not allowed.

This is a quote from the frequently asked Questions.

No! You do not have the right to diffuse on your forum any videos coming from these sites.

I just don't understand I guess because You Tube provides the EMBED code to post these videos.

So just wondering why not?

If a SYSTEM ADMIN could answer please, when you get time.

I just read somewhere it's because It can cause problems with the forumotion people, meaning the owners who provide us this service. It's not allowed, and from what I can tell ..this has been brought up on a number of ocassions and all the requests for this capability have been denied.

Dont get me wrong, I think it would be cool myself, but they have there reasons and failing to comply could mean the loss of your forum completely. Not worth lossing your forum over is it?

I personally don't care about You Tube videos.
I am more or less asking on a support point of view.
I know how to embed them and don't want to tell people how if it is gonna cause problems.

There for I asked the questions above.

I just thinks its odd that You Tube supplies the code.

Thats like a governmental agency giving someone illegal drugs and saying you can't use them because it is illegal.

Thats just bad business.

I agree, it doesn't make much sense, just technical red tape I guess.I'm still so unsure of what exactly we can and can't do on our forums..I wish I knew where to find this info.
