Re: Widget code need help me ...!
Hi, your title not being specific and therefore not facilitating research via the search option, I'm not answering (nor is any other member ) until you change your title to a more specific one, related to your problem
Why do we ask you to use explicit titles
Why do we ask you to use explicit titles
- Code:
The forum's search engine bases its research on keywords found in [b]topic titles[/b].
When you do a research, do you use "help", "urgent", "problem", "SOS" or "question" as keywords to look for topics about your problem/question?
Certainly not! So this is why it is important to use titles [b]related to your problem/question[/b]. Doing this makes the researches much easier for visitors who use the search engine to get an answer to their question.
Thanks for your understanding.

This was your 2nd reminder, one more time & you will earn yourself a warning
What has happened, you need to explain more? Where are you stuck?

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
Hi
This kind of widgets is in a version called SF-BB, which is a significantly changed version from basically phpBB2.
But also the structure using the templates n' CSS is much more malleable.
So, I don't know if it's possible so far on an usual version...

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
i am all confused.. but what is SF-BB? I never seen this version.
it seems the forum he has in the link is just a multi grid with two sections.
I would imagine the widgets would be the same? but i dont even know how to get this version to see. plus i am not even sure what he is asking?
but here is the support forum that the SF-BB forums footer.
http://forum.forumactif.com/
So i have no clue.. is that french.. may be this new versions is only offered in France? thats where forumotion is based/from.
So wow.. ifi had a way to get this version i am sure we could tell him what to do right away.. but this is all new and a first to me. Anyway else know anything about this new version.. if it's new,where it came from or what it's about.. because i am lost..
the only thing i could recommend is going to that support forum and asking there.. if you speak french.. or what ever language that is?

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
Hi Guys !
I apologize for the blur of my explanation.
Let's start by forum.forumactif which is the french support version as forumotion.
Then the FS-BB is an advanced version of phpBB2 that ze_chaofan (also member here) developed on our forum here and that is now (or it'll be in the next days) available in english.
It is a complete change from templates and CSS, downloadable kits ready, and open source.
I also sayed that i don't know if it's possible in a usual version, but let's say better that we did not try for the moment.
EDIT : Woups ! Sanket you driving very fast and look at the "pots accident" !

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
I don't have code for the latest topics widget but you can use this
code for a mouseover widget bar and add other widgets to it
Code added to: ACP/Display/Generalities/Homepage Message content
Forum width set at 96%
code for a mouseover widget bar and add other widgets to it
- Code:

.widgetleft .mainwidgetleft {display: none;}
.widgetleft:hover .mainwidgetleft {display: block;}
.widgetleft:hover {padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 20px; width: 200px; padding-top:5px;}
.widgetleft {background: #ffffff url('http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k57/RoNo1/widgets_bg1.png') top right repeat-y; min-width: 20px;}

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
Thanks guys. You can add just about any widget... but there is
a limit to how much code the homepage message field can hold.
Using Firefox browser:
Highlight a widget, right click, view selection source, copy...
Example: Phpbb3 search box

Re: Widget code need help me ...!
But, tell me, you can't add "automatic widgets", can you ?RoNo wrote:Thanks guys. You can add just about any widget... but there is

I mean, for exemple, can you put the widget "News" or "recent topics" ? Is it going to work automatically ?
Re: Widget code need help me ...!
No... sorry.
There aren't proper forumotion "feed widget" codes and there
is way too much code when copying a recent topics widget.
Using the widget bar for custom widgets works fine for me.
I don't use punbb or phpbb2 but maybe someone using
those versions has a work around with template editing.

For phpbb3, I'm gooing to search if there's a way to move the normal widgets...
---------------------->
EDIT : For phpbb3 with normal widgets, just put this in your CSS :
And then, put your widgets into the left column. But there's no scrollbar with this code.#left {position: fixed; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 20px; max-width: 20px; height: 100%; overflow-y: auto;}
#left:hover {padding-left: 10px; padding-right: 20px; width: 220px; max-width: 220px; padding-top:5px;}
#left {background: #ffffff url('https://2img.net/h/i85.photobucket.com/albums/k57/RoNo1/widgets_bg1.png') top right repeat-y; min-width: 20px;}
#left:hover {background: #ffffff url('https://2img.net/h/i85.photobucket.com/albums/k57/RoNo1/widgets_bg2.png') top right repeat-y;}
#left table, #left div {display: none!important;}
#left:hover table, #left:hover div {display: block!important;}
About the main question, what's the forum version ?
Re: Widget code need help me ...!
