Portal Update Problem

Here is the problem I am dealing with.
Portal has served me very well and used to inform my members and guest about recent topics, updates etc. extremely well.
But, I created a New category and moved few topics to there. And guess what happened? Portal didn't show them at all.
I tried creating new topic in new category but portal still didn't show it. When I moved these topics to my old category everything worked fine again.
But I really need this new category and I need Portal synced with it correctly.
What is the problem ? Can you please help me.

All you need to do is change what your portal is linked to. Go to Admin Panel > Modules > Portal > Structure

Then click the button in the "news" widget. From there, choose the new category that you want it linked to.

If that still doesn't work, try clearing your cache.

Yeah, I did that. But, Can two categories be linked in news widget? Or I have to create a new Widget?

no you can only select one board for the news.
but you can set the number and length of news for the board.

Admin panel?>modules>portal>portal structure>

Go to your news widget and click on the orange modify icon and the options are there.

This option should be extended to support more Forums, it is really necessary for anyone who updates daily and posts links for download.
