Registration via email

Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

If I make a new page called "Registration" and ask those that want to register to send me via email their preferred user name (2 choices) along with their email address, real name and location, I would then register them myself, but it would also allow me to view the origin of the email (their ip) from the email header, this would be a way of me checking who is registering and if I am getting banned members trying to register again? would this work ?

I think this could somehow be possible.
You could create a page with jotform.com

However, i must warn you that this can reduce your forum traffic & people joining it. The simple reason being, the hassle in registering. Users will never like it.

Thanks Sanket I hear what you say it was just away of me trying to change the registration system so I am not having to constantly watch the forum almost 24/7 for trouble, I will give some thought to what you have said here and maybe get back to you .
