New User request mail

Hi,

I am trying to set up a BB and I am currently doing some testing with others from my club and also myself.

I have configured the BB/Forum so that new suers are activated by the admin (me) and (I thought) that I would get an email when a new user has asked to join. So far I have had two users asked and I have no email. I am assuming that it will go to my mailbox (external not within the forum) but nothing has arrived.

What have I done wrong? What do I need to do?

I did have the mail address wrong to start with but have now changed it and it is still not sending me emails.

Admin Panel // User & Groups // User Options // Look for Send notify email on new user registrations // Click on Admin // Save

My "profile" is already set up like that. So no liuck there I am afraid.

Is it likely to be that I got the mail address wrong first time around?

I might try making myself a moderator as well and given me those rights and see if I get mail then!

Any further help/advice gratefully recieved.

Only the admin will receive them.

Also have you set new user activation to admin?
Users & groups>Users Options
new user activation:Admin
Save.

Yes it is!

Once again I did not have this set when I first created the BB.

Got it!

Your last question made me go and look at the admin profile and it was there that the mail address was wrong. Changed it and now i am getting new user requests.
