Last post question.

I want to show a Forum. But it will be locked until a certain rank. But I want to disable showing who made last post. So were is should say last post by..... I would like for it to say something like Private. Is there any way to do this ? Thanks in advance

But if the forum s permissions are only set for a certain groups/or individual members then the forum will not even appear to them unless they have access.

In my knowledge, this is not possible. Unless you make a whole forum/category that is in Advanced Settings, only enabled for that certain group.
