Making Hidden
I was wondering if I can make Journals (we have blogs for each member who asks for one) and I know that some of the members want only certain people to be able to view their journal so...is there a way that I can make it so only certain people can read them? And that they are hidden from others?
Re: Making Hidden
Hello,
you could do this via groups & permissions.
Create the group that you wish to allow to view the journals
Admin panel >> Users & Groups ( Tab ) >> Groups > Add new > Save, Add members > Save again.
Now hit the "permissions" button which is above the group (Still in the add user screen) and give them the appropriate permissions and save again

Your looking in the user permissions not the group permissions.
You can add the person to your special group, then fix up the groups permission then they'll be able to see the special journals

Re: Making Hidden
sorry about that finnysgirl
you have to have a special catagorie/topic witch you can allow players to post in but only the staff you want to see be able to view it and post into it.

Re: Making Hidden
Finnysgirl, the technician's have changed the way group permissions are configured since I last made a group, My mistake there.
Ok, lets go via the direct forum permissions
Admin panel >> General ( Tab ) >> Categories & Forum > Click the X/Tick on the section called "Journals" or whatever you have called it, and allow that group to have permission to view, read & reply.
You should have check boxes here

Re: Making Hidden
Now my main question is this:
Each person has their own blog. Can I make it for EACH blog or is it the journal category entirely?
and its ok about calling me a boy ><
