Avatar Problems Empty Avatar Problems

Post by TorbayFishing August 20th 2007, 5:50 pm

I have read all the instructions and FAQ I can find and none of them help,

First Of all, in the admin panel, I can no longer find the avatar settings (those to change dimensions etc)

Secondly, my registered members cannot set them, there are no options in the accounts to do so, & I know when I set up the forum I allowed this, the only way I can (or my other admins) do this is by editing a users account for them whilst logged in as an admin

can anybody please help

Yes I am in advanced, I am also the primary Admin (I created the forum)

I have read all of those links, I saw and used the page I am looking for in the config of the site when I set it up, but it has vanished ever since. I want it back because as I have said, my members are unable to use the avatar settings for their profiles as it doesnt appear in their settings, whilst it does so for the admin (and admin are also able to modify members avatars etc)

I just dont want to end up being asked by users for special avatars etc

In your guides to setting up forum and to do with profiles and setting them up, it says the following section

Administration Pannel => General Admin => Configuration => Avatars & Profils

I DO NOT SEE THIS ANYWHERE, it just says profiles and there is nothing about avatars in there anywhere.

Whilst this isnt necessarily important, it is annoying me now, and I dont seem to be getting any help here, I have tried accessing with Internet Explorer & Firefox and have the same problem. I also have all the usual cookies etc etc etc enabled as well, I have also tried accessing using different admin names and have exacly the same thing.

Look, with all due respect, I am no idiot, I AM IN ADVANCED MODE

My members are now able to deal with their own avatars, but the admin side is still not available to me in General Settings

Is there some kind of maintainenece going on with phpbb3 as it seems strange how the users get their avatars back with no intervention from an admin
