Adsense Help Please!

Ok I am really sorry if this has been asked like a 1000 times, i did do a search and had a quick look and couldn;t see anything. It's also perhaps going to seem a really dumb question so apologies in advance but where do you put your adsense code? I can't figure it ou

Be sure you have Ads disabled before adding Adsense which is stated in TOS.

do this by buying credits in the Misc tab and disabling ads.

Then where did i read that having ads on the site without disabling them first would result in banned forum.
