Question about the search

This search does not seem to work. Every we search for something, even if it's the easiest thing to find, we get this message, "No topics or posts met your search criteria."

My question is, is there any way to improve the search? I mean the search is supposed to be one of the simplest things to use on a website, but it doesn't seem to find anything.

the search function may not work properly got the first few days on a brand new forum.
How long has your forum been around for?
Can we get the URL & search term used on your forum please?

Anyone have any answers for this??? I really want my members to be able to use the search box, but so far its not working, or works very intermittently

It will only work if there are posts/topics that meets the criteria/word you've searched.

I would like some direction here as well. My forum is almost 2 years old and still the forum search isn't very effective.

What is happening on my forum, is they search a bit and then don't find it. They reask the questions and get a bit of attitude from older members from being lazy.

Are there some general guidelines I could post in my "how to use this forum" section on how to optimize their search "experience?

For the search engine to work effectively, members must have an EXPLICIT title i.e. I cannot post any new topics. If a member has their topic title something like "PLZ HELP I NEEED IT!", then it wouldn't be good for the search. Perhaps you've misspelled or they've misspelled something which would cause the search to conflict with the posts/topics that have been made?
