Another forum header question Empty Another forum header question

Post by baker.simon March 26th 2010, 10:52 pm

Hi,

I have found a header I wish to use, created thorugh a website and it gives you a html code to use the image on my forum. I paste this image into Admin>General>Forum>Configuration then insert the html into the 'Site name' box.

That is fine, it shows up as my forum header.

The problem is that when I do this all the text of my forum is suddenly enlarged and looks silly. See screenshots below.

Without header: http://yfrog.com/jnnormalforumj

With header: http://yfrog.com/0jenlargedforumj

How can i get the text of the 1st screenshot, with the header of the 2nd screenshot?

What you want to do is get the full image URL, ones you can use on templates. Hopefully you understand what I mean by that.

Then you need to do this:

Administration Panel > Display > Pictures and Colors > Pics management > Advanced Mode

Then you should see "Forum main logo".

Now post the URL of the banner you want under where it says "Icon url (Internet address)" and click "save".

Refresh your forum and the banner should be installed and the font should have remained the same size.

Please remember to remove the banner from:

Administration Panel > General > Forum > Configuration

Otherwise you will have two banners.

If you didn't understand something please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks and hope I helped,
Jamie.

Templates, not sure what you mean? Been using one of those banner creators so I can only get a direct link, HTML code, forum/BB code or myspace header code?

In that case you want the direct link. Sorry, I should have said that in my first post. Razz
