Alteration to forum url

Is it possible to change our forum url, and then to redirect traffic from the old name to the new one?

You can create a new forum and the old, create some form of redirect to the new.
I use a code:

You can add that to your page or make your portal (If you have one) a HTML welcome screen or etc, and post that code in there or have a giant image E.G Click here to go to our new site!.

Thanks for the help, but those aren't satisfactory solutions. Does anyone else have suggestions?
