Word censoring doesn't work any more

The code we have in the word censoring no longer works, instead of showing the replacement word or asterisk, it shows the code on the forum.
<font color=blue>edited: flip</font> I think it was possibly the addition of the blue that did it. I didn't put it in as I really don't know HMTL code. Please can someone show me the correct code to replace swear words in blue font, as they would explain it to a child.

Instead of the blue, did you try with the color code of blue #0000FF

Thanks for replying Sanket, just tried that & unfortunately it doesn't work either.
I was wrong with my earlier post it did used to work with blue as we had it, but stopped working some months ago, perhaps with the October updates.

Okay, i will test it on my forum to see if there is a work around for it.

Thank you Sanket, it's only a small thing, but members were quite vocal in their complaints when it kicked in before, not in a moderating font. The didn't know what had happened and moaned that if they were moderated they should know. They could of course just stop swearing.

Do you have html enabled in both profile & admin panel?

It's definitely enabled in the admin panel, it was enabled in my partners profile, he was checking this with me, but not in mine for some reason, I have turned it on now. Can you show exactly how you have the code & the replacement word in the replacement box?

I was using strict HTML for font color with the inverted commas from around the color. Works perfectly now the inverted commas have been removed! Don't know why I didn't think of that
