Adding new profile feild.

I want to add a new profile feild such that members can see it but cannot edit it just like post, points etc. That is that profile feild is visible to memberes, but they cannot change it. But when i make such field, members of my forum cannot see that feild. What thing is i doing wrong? Please help me.

yes i make it display on both profile and messages.

Did you hit replace the content after saving the field?

still not working. When my member open his/her profile and click on see my profile link they see only these links.
Gender,Posts,Points, Reputation, Birthday, Country, Occupation, Hobbies,Humor

no, it is not appearing in post as well as profile. Wait i'll provide you screen shot what thing i have done in adding new profile feild.
