Latest Posts Feature

I see there is a "Latest Posts" or "Recent Posts" module, but that seems to just provide a small, scrolling widget. Is there a way to present the most recent, say 20-25 posts in the standard category display format, on the forum's main page (or portal) ? It'd be great if a "more" option could be provided, so users/visitors can review all threads chronologically, regardless of what forum they're posted in, starting with the most recent first.
