when my members post thier username shows twice one above avvie one below avvie?

Is http://bearvillearea.forumotion.net/index.htm the forum in particular?

We'd only be able to correct it via Templates, without the techies intervention.

It appears so, just to double check, are you using PHPBB2?

looks as if we have another tech problem PHPBB2i guess

yes i am using PHBB2

Have you by any chance used the tutorial to put your username and rank under the avatar?

Yes I have I just checked after you mentioned that but can't find the link anymore?

We don't need any techies intervention, we can change the PHPBB2 templates ourselves

Head to: Admin panel >> Display ( Tab ) >> Templates / Post & private message.
Have you edited any of these templates?

posting_body is the only template i've edited there

have to make this difficult.
I hate phpbb2 coding, but Ill try and get the fix.

What's happened here is the code for the rank has been duplicated and has been put on top of the avie as well as below it ( Below is the normal spot )

My mistake, phpbb2 coding has democratically changed since I last used it lol.
Ok had back to templates/General and click on the corresponding O to viewtopic_body and locate this code {postrow.displayed.POSTER_RANK}<br />
{postrow.displayed.RANK_IMAGE}
Now, you should locate this twice
which means you should see this code
{postrow.displayed.POSTER_RANK}<br />
{postrow.displayed.RANK_IMAGE}{postrow.displayed.POSTER_AVATAR}<br /><br />
{postrow.displayed.POSTER_RANK}<br />
{postrow.displayed.RANK_IMAGE}

We've identified the problem, now we need to remove one or the other

Remove the code that is above or below the avatar. The avatar code is {postrow.displayed.POSTER_AVATAR}<br /><br />

Save and publish you're template

Thnka you it worked had to delete template General viewtopic_body and it fixed everything is back to normal
