Changing Widget Title Colors

I have looked around for answer to this question for awhile now. I know that the title of the widgets is connects to the color of the main font. I was wondering if there was a way to change only the title color of the widgets. I have came across this code:

color: #8F8F7B !important;
}

however it does not seem to work. It could be that I am doing something wrong when adding it, but I don't think that is the problem. Anyone know what to do?

Also is there anyway to edit the font size of just the widgets and not the rest of the site. For example, in my Recent Topics widget I would like to make the links a little larger but not change the link sizes of the rest of the site. Is this possible?
