How do I have a section where post count does not alter?
Hi, is it possible for me to make a section of my forum where people can post but their post counts do not change?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Not really, I did come up with a way of faking it though.
The guide wasn't approved though as it doesn't really eliminate post count in those sections.

First to do this you must have the Points System available for use. If you are using the Points system for shops you’ll have to make a custom profile field or not do this at all. Now let’s get started.
First make sure the Points system is activated.
Advanced Admin Panel >>> Modules >>> Points and Reputation >>> Points System
Now change your settings to the same as shown below.
After you’ve done that hit save and click the tab that says “Points Management.”
Next change the “per message” and “per subject” fields for any forums where you want post count disabled to 0. For forums where you want post count enabled change the “per message” and “per subject” count to 1.
Example:
Lastly go to
Users & Groups >>> Users >>> Profiles
From there scroll down until you find the profile field labeled “Posts.” Click the modify icon and change it like shown below:
Hit the save button now.
Now you are done!
Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

nice try but that is not disabling the post count.
that is just creating a new profile with post points made to look like posts.
The posts will still be counted and if you use the memberlist, top poster , statistics pages you will see the truth.
hiding your post section doesn't give you much

Hello,
BrickMaster, Laurence 123 refers to the normal posts, not the points

Yeah I know, I basically came up with a way to fake it though. It isn't completely perfect though.
