Ok so I was figuring out how to do glosses....

To be modest... I think this is quite a good set of glossy ranks for a first try....

Yeah I already thought that but it was a quick test to test glosses... so i couldnt be bothered going back to change!

those are nice but VIP rank is a bit hard to see the text so good job on them

Anyone have any ideas for improvement?

Well, it is a little hard to read the text on the yellow rank... perhaps you could change the color. Another thing I think that would make them better is if you changed the star icon on left side of each rank to a different icon that would represent the rank. Like a crown for the Administrator, etc. It's not a necessity, but I think it would add more interest and make them a lot better.
