Site logs me out

This has happened to myself (the site admin), as well as some of my members at my site. When writing out a post, when either going to preview or post the reply, you are logged out and have to log back in. It also happens if you just happen to idle not doing anything at all. I searched before creating a new topic, and every result that I found was answered by suggesting that the person switch their browser to Firefox. Well I already use Firefox and always have been using it. So I'm hoping to find any other suggestions or solutions to the problem.

I had already done all the suggestions in both those threads. I came across both of them when I initially searched for an answer to the problem before making this thread. I already use Firefox, clearing my cache, setting permissions and cookies has had no effect. It seems that the longer you take to type out a reply when posting, plays a part in the problem. Which is especially annoying for those of us who write stories and type out rather long posts. Sitting idle or inactivity for a short amount of time seems to do it as well.

I don't lose my internet connection, the site logs me out and forces me to log back in. If your question was meant to ask if the site logs me out often, I would say that it happens maybe two or three times a month. I have two members that have complained to me that it has happened to them at the site as well.

This is really wierd. I've never heard of such. Maybe you guys don't have the "remember me" box checked.

I can assure you, it's checked. Well I can only attest to my account being checked, no one else s.

You'll be logged out anyway at the start of a new month as its a security feature. But also check how long your login session time is set to in Adminpanel>>Users>>UsersOptions>>Time before a user is considered offline - I have mine set to 30 mins

Okay I just checked and it is set at 60 minutes.

Again, I use Firefox. Of the two members who have also reported the same problem to me, I know that one of them uses Firefox as well, not sure about the other.

Up to date browser? 3.6.3

Try a different browser and see if you have the same problem
