Disallow Right-Clicking
Yeah, so I read in the Tips and Tricks section for this, but I think that applies for my WHOLE forum (...right? O_o). How do I disallow right-clicking only on one of my categories? Or one of my forums? Thanks!

Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
To clarify the issue:
You can disable right-click the entire forum, or you can disable right click only on the first page of the forum. You can set the right click to be disallow only on a certain category.

Yes, that part I quote in bold? How do I do that? The tutorial you posted right after the first post was for disabling right click for the whole forums. O_o
Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
What forum version are you using? If punbb or phpbb2 so, it is possible to put the disable right click codes in chosen pages by going to templates but be sure to take care of the default content codes posted in the templates.
Hope this suggestion could help.

Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
O_O I was sure I replied to this... Uh... Okay. My problem is that I'm having a points shop and I'm selling avatars. How do I show the members the avatars I sell and prevent them from saving the pictures first? Thank you...
Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
Make it into a single image including small sized images in that single image.

Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
There is actually a basic script to use to disable right-clicking; though I don't recommend it as users won't be able to right-click anything else on your site, and that could be important later (especially for admins and mods).
I would go with what Sanket said. Here are a few tricks to use:
1. Using CSS to position a transparent gif overtop of the image.
2. Using span tag to position a transparent gif overtop of the image.
3. Use the image as a background of a table and fill the cell with a transparent gif.
4. Use a watermark over your demonstration images in the store with a simple editing software (paint will do just fine for something like that), and keep the real images to yourself until they purchase them.
I also recommend keeping track of who has purchased an avatar and who has not so you can kick their butt later when need be.
Or, if you are really willing to try the right-click script; add the following script to any HTML page, over_header_new template, site message, announcement, or portal widget (portal pages are great for stores as, with widgets, you have easier control over the store's layout and can include the below script without having to disable right-clicking for your entire site):

document.oncontextmenu=new Function("return false")

Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
!!
Portal widgets, of course! Genius. So I put that script on the widgets and that'll disable right clicking only for those widgets, right? And I'll also add watermark, just to be safe. I think putting all those images together would just end up in cropping, so I probably won't go with that. XP
Thanks guys!

Re: Disallow Right-Clicking
Nopes, a smaller version of the images will reduce the quality when they enlarge. So its a better way to turn off copiers.
