RESTRICTING NEW MEMBERS

Hi, in my forum I have a for sale section. We get a lot of cases of people becoming members just so that they can sell items. Is it possible to prevent them posting in the for sale forum until they have made a minimum number of posts.

You need to make another group with the minimum # of posts for that group & give access to only that group to view the forum & reply to it or make new threads.

Blimey that was quick! Thanks, but I cant see how to auto enable it for a certain number of posts

When you create a group there is a option to enter the # of posts.

Create a group, and make it "Group autosubscribe" and type in how many posts it needs, and edit your For Sale or whatever forum's premissions. Make it Replies to messages and unselect members and select the group you have made before. Hope it helped. Wink
