Making Catagory appear problems ( I have read tutorial)

I am sort of frustrated, I have tried for two days to make catagories in my forums but I cannot. I think I have solved the reason why, but do not know how to fix this problem.

I have studied the tutorial and followed it exactly, but there is one place I cannot.

This is what the tutorial says to do to make a category :

1.Choose the kind of forum you want > choose Category
2.Category Name: Write the title your category will have
3.Description (optional): You can add a description of your Category.
Take notice that this description will not appear for a normal category, but will appear on a Category attached to another
4.Attached to: Leave the name of your board in this list
5.Position this forum after: Select here the position your Category will have when displayed on your board in correlation with previous existing Categories or forums.


I can do all but number 4, in the drop down menu of the Attached to field the name of my board does not appear, only other forums I have created already. Therefore I cannot select it. I have made three catagories and put forums in them and they show up in the Admin- forum- management section but they do not appear on my homepage.

I have tried to copy paste the name of my forum as well as I tried to type in the name but it won't allow me to.

Please help.

No it's not, its blank, that is why I am having trouble. ( Please re-read my OP it explains it).

when you click on 'Attached to' field drop down menu it reads like this:

I
I--test
I I--test 2

See the first line is blank , no forum name, just a 'I' that's all. The second slot is my test category, named 'test' and the third is my test forum ( named test 2)

My forum name is not appearing in this field list at all.
